Mobile Clubbing / Silent Rave Nov 19 2009
There is a Mobile Clubbing session/ Silent Rave happening soon!
Date: Thurs: Nov 19 from 12:30 to 1 pm
Place: Capilano University: North Vancouver Campus
Take the 239 bus from the seabus and get off at the final stop on Purcell Way walk down cascade street to Birch Building and dance dance dance!
Mobile Clubbing at Pacific Central Station 3 pm on March 7, 2009
There was about 35 of us yesterday at the Pacific Central Station. We danced inside for about 8 minutes before the security guys lost it. We then moved to the park in front of the station. It was fun, it was cold, it even snowed! It was great to welcome people just off the bus or the train with a dance party.

Mobile Clubbing at Central Library, Vancouver on April 27, 2008
Dancing in the hall of the Central Public Library building was fun. It was quiet, not too much pedestrian traffic and not many dancers. We were just 3, with 2 more about to join, when we were asked to stop. That was a first for a Vancouver Mobile Clubbing session. We managed to dance for about 3 songs.

You are invited, invite your friends.
Mobile clubbing is where a (small) group of people meet together in a public
place and put
on earphones and over the course of a set period of time just dance to a
personal stereo.
Each person listens to whatever music they want to (each different), and they
dance.
These are the only instructions:
- arrive at location at a given time
- start dancing to your personal stereo to the music of your choice
- spread out in space as that will prevent us from being asked to leave
It will be great!
P.S. There is a great free dance performance at noon, same location.

Come to our next mobile clubbing session on Monday June 4 at 6:30pm at the central branch of the Vancouver Public Library – we’re going to be dancing our hearts out on the Robson side (by the stairs).
Bring your own tunes (and your sunscreen), show up, and dance!

Mobile Clubbing to celebrate International Dance Day!
Friday April 27 – 8:10pm at the Vancouver Art Gallery, south side, Robson Street entrance
Saturday April 28 – 1:10pm at the Vancouver Public Library, Central Branch (inside and outside the atrium concentrated at the West Georgia/Homer side)
Sunday April 29 – 5:10pm on the pedestrian walkways of the Cambie Street Bridge * spread out along the bridge and watch for bike traffic *
What to do:
Bring your personal stereo and your own music. Listen to your favourite tunes while dancing in public with so many others doing the same.
